Like most who follow the pagan or Wiccan paths, I am an avid reader. I love to study and learn all I can along my journey. I have been a book reviewer for quite some time now and will be reviewing books I enjoy that are Wicca related here.
First book that I want to share is a new title scheduled for release on October 8, 2017. I was given an advanced copy for the purpose of reviewing by the publisher, Llewellyn Publications.
I was pretty excited to receive this book. I am always looking for new ideas on how to practice. This book is full of ideas that will inspire everyone from the beginner to those who have been on the witchy path for many years. Here is the excerpt from the publishers:
Connect with your witchy self every day using small, easy, and fun practices. This book features quick and meaningful ways to integrate witchcraft into your daily life, inspiring you to take your magick to a new level whether you’re a beginning or experienced practitioner.
Deborah Blake guides you on a journey through the Wheel of the Year, providing witchy wisdom, affirmations, spells, questions to ponder, and much more. From connecting with nature to connecting with deities, A Year and a Day of Everyday Witchcraft explores a variety of modern Pagan practices to help you get more in touch with your personal path of witchcraft.
I found, as I read the book, that it truly delivers on what the description stated. Each day, there is a new activity to do. The book starts with January 1 and follows the Wheel of the Year. You can use the daily practice on its own or as a starting point to build on to suit your own needs. For a beginner, this book gives a nice, solid starting point in how to incorporate your witchy practices into your daily life. I think back to my own beginning years ago. How much easier things would have been if I had a resource such as this!
Definitely be on the lookout for this book! It will make a good resource to have on hand. For the beginners, this is especially a must-have title to add to your resource library.
